“My gal said ‘you know you booked a hostel’ for an overnight sleepover. Never stayed in a hostel before. This place is great. Clean and comfortable. The staff warm and welcoming. And what doesn’t work with a craft brewery attached to it (have the Yamba Breeze cocktail). Also, terrific food options but especially great vegetarian and gluten free options. Highly recommended.”
“Stopped here with our 2 kids driving from Sydney to Sunshine Coast - was amazing! The staff were wonderful, room was perfect for a quick night stop over - everything clean and very comfy beds and pillows. Was lovely and quiet in our room. The burgers are next level! Thank you for having us we will definitely be back!”
“This Hotel is a nice place to stay when your on a budget. Even though the toilets are seperate its made up by being clean spacious. There us a basic kitchen with a toaster and microwave and there’s a laundry. Ask the staff for anything they will help you. Self check in is great”
“It was with a degree of trepidation that I booked into Yamba Central. However my anxiety was swept aside when I opened the door to my room. I paid $110 per night with the bathroom quite close by which by the way was more than adequate and clean! As for my room, it was spotless! A queen size + a single plus another bed under the single! Ceiling fan, good air conditioner, small fridge with a few cans of Wobbly Chook beer brewed on site, television, tea and coffee making including a kettle of course. A VERY thoughtful addition was an extension cord that I used for my sleep apnea equipment!! Right from the get go I was made to feel welcome by the staff after a long drive from Sydney! I received a welcome text message and after wandering downstairs I was delighted to experience genuine and friendly staff where no request was greeted with a scowl or indifference! I soon found out that there is a family dynasty involved! From the delightful matriarch/owner (Chris), to the one and only "Chook" and his brother, daughters-in-law, grandchildren etc. The quality of their "themed" merchandise on offer is of a high standard! i was booked for 2 nights and had no hesitation in extending my stay for another night! I will be returning and look forward to another positive experience! Of one point to note. The restaurant is closed for all meals on Wednesdays for cleaning etc. So if you're after very reasonably priced accommodation with options, centrally-located in Yamba, a mix of friendly locals and tourists with outstanding and friendly staff, terrific food and you're after a Cluckin' Good Time then The Wobbly Chook in Yamba is a must! p.s. I've read through several of the other comments and can only endorse especially as far as the undercover garage is concerned. Only about 4 spaces and availability is on a first in basis.”
“We stopped off here on our big drive home from our holiday with our two little ones (2 and 6 months). Check in was easy, and parking was so convenient. The room had everything we needed, maybe a little on the small side for a longer stay but perfect for a night and we had our own bathroom. The staff were all friendly and accommodating and made an effort to talk to us and make sure we had what we needed. We had dinner and then brekkie at the brewery downstairs and both were excellent. The room was dark and quiet enough for us, despite taking the kids up to bed early while there were still a lot of people in the brewery we didn’t have any issues with noise. The room was great value and right in the middle of town”
“Such a fantastic place to stay while you enjoy and relax in the lovely town of Yamba. I only intended on staying one night here as planned but felt so very looked after and relaxed that I ended up extending my stay for a whole extra night! All the staff were extremely friendly and always ready to support you with your needs and the food is absolutely glorious!!! Gonna have to come back asap”
“Stayed for a quick stop over on the way up to Brisbane with my daughter. Basic clean room with comfortable beds plus nice clean linen and fresh towels. Easy access and friendly helpful staff. We stayed Friday night but didn't find the pub downstairs too loud. It is a renovated backpackers so the shared bathroom is down the hall. The bathroom was really clean and oh my gosh! the pressure and the heat of the shower was amazing. Just the thing for washing the journey off and relaxing stiff muscles from the long drive. Great location in town. Really good for just a night or two.”
“We stayed in a Queen ensuite room in Yamba Central. There are also room only with shared facility options. It was clean, tidy and comfortable for a one night stop over on o road trip. We paid $136 on Expedia which was cheaper than booking direct. Be aware if staying more than on night, the rooms aren’t serviced.”
